PATHS lessons were modified from the Salud Para Su Corazón curriculum to better accommodate adolescents and are designed for a classroom setting. The culturally appropriate lessons focus on cardiovascular disease awareness such as nutrition, physical activity, and the effects of smoking. They also include information on various health and science professions. Under each lesson, the word document can be read while the slide presentation (i.e., MS PowerPoint) is shown. The handouts provided match the slide presentations and can be used for the students to complete while the presentation is being shown. Most of the lessons also include a quiz that can be given at the end of the lesson. The extra handouts and brochures can be obtained directly from the Salud Para Su Corazón link (click underlined text).
